Mio Imai with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra
WHEN: Friday, November 22, 2024 at 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Miller Auditorium, Western Michigan University
Presented at Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra’s Masterworks concert: Beethoven’s Fourth Symphony
Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel spent her lifetime defying expectations and shattering barriers. Every bit the pianist (perhaps more so) and composer as her brother Felix, her Overture in C major showcases her undeniable musical talent.
Beethoven’s Fourth Symphony is a burst of symphonic sunshine with lighthearted melodies and playful rhythms.
Between the two, the 2024 Stulberg International String Competition Gold Medalist joins the Symphony for an inspiring performance from a young talent.
