
Lauren Yoon, a 16-year-old violinist from South Korea, studies with Professor Masao Kawasaki at the Juilliard Pre College. She previously studied with Paul Arnold of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Her musical education has been further enriched by masterclasses with renowned violinists, including Midori Goto, Zakhar Bron, Paul Roczek, Robin Wilson, and Kirill Troussov.
In 2024, Lauren was named a National YoungArts Winner with Distinction in classical music and received a silver award following her performance at the YoungArts Week. That same year, she won the Carl Flesch Prize, the highest honor awarded at the Carl Flesch Academy in Germany, where she had the privilege of performing with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic under the direction of Maestro Förster.
Over the years, Lauren has earned top prizes in numerous competitions and performed with orchestras at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Geffen Hall, Merkin Hall, and the DiMenna Center.
Looking ahead, Lauren will continue to expand her musical horizons at the Perlman Music Program in the summer of 2025, where she will have the opportunity to study with Itzhak Perlman and Catherine Cho.
