15 years old violinist Chanhee Jin, from South Korea, began his musical journey at the age of three and has since emerged as a compelling young artist of his generation. Currently a ninth-grade student at Martin Luther School in New York. Chanhee attends the Juilliard Pre-College Division on a full scholarship under guidence of Masao Kawasaki, where he serves as the concertmaster and principle of the Juilliard Pre-College Symphony.
His artistic excellence has been recognized through numerous top honors, most recently winning the 2025 Juilliard Pre-College Mendelssohn Concerto Competition, Grand Prix and Audience Favorite Award at the 2025 Music International Grand Prix, 1st Prize at the 2025 VITAS International Music Competition, and the Grand Prize at the 2025 Camerata Artists International Competition.
As an active soloist and orchestral leader, Chanhee made his concerto debut with the Juilliard Pre-College Symphony at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater in February 2026. He has performed at prestigious venues including the UN Headquarters, Merkin Hall, and Kaufman Music Center. His leadership roles extend to the 2025 YOLA National Festival (LA Philharmonic), where he served as concertmaster. Looking ahead to the summer of 2026, Chanhee has been selected as member of Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra (VFJO) in Switzerland. He performs on a 1701 G.B. Rogeri violin, generously on loan from Sooyoung Art Trade.
